Laz is a graduate of the Austin Community College, where he obtained his degree in Automotive Technology. He has always been a natural tinkerer. After he graduated college he went on to work for a small independent shop in Austin where he honed his mechanical skills working on German automobiles for several years.

Working on complex German electrical systems and sometimes, over engineered motors, paved the way for becoming a successful technician able to diagnose all kinds of issues.
Laz takes pride in doing things the right way, whether it is on the side of the road, on your driveway or at his garage, he will make sure things get done properly. Attention to detail is one of his best skills and it pays off. In a world where most mechanics try to rush to get things in and out and cut corners; he will take the time to explain the root cause of the issue and make sure it gets repaired correctly.
